:: Death Note meets Visual Kei ::
Definition:
vis-u-al kei [pronounced "k"]:
1. the Japanese, trendy movement adapting 'glam' rock;
often influenced by VK bands
2. a style which branches off Jrock;
weighing visual appearance as much as musical talent
3. pretty men dressed up like clowns on crack,
writing emo-esque songs, and doing a bunch of fanservice to please the
sick-minded fangirls... hell, yeahhh <3
4. if you are still confused about VK, refer to Nightmare
[the band who does the OP/ED for the Death Note anime series]
---end defining--->
{...no, I have nothing against Nightmare or VK =P... isn't VK shallow,
though? To one's own, I focus more on music+lyrics though.
Appearance is just a plus... unless it becomes a crazy VK fetish =\}
"What the frick does it have to do with Death Note?!!!111"
Getting to the point, I know I'm not the only one who thinks this way...
But it's freaky when we have our little VK jrock kiddies and Death Note
kiddies striking scary, unintentional-cosplaying resemblance:
Misa and Bou [ex-member of An Cafe] are a conspiracy.
Kaoru [Dir en Grey] back in the 304-Gauze days and comparing him to Near...[Now the PV of 304 goushitsu, hakushi no sakura is just so Near-esque on sick crack]. Ok, so the hair colour might be off, but the hair alone is the same... Not to mention the facial expression, seriously.
More to come when I look through my collection of VK pics, and think
"Hey, why does this [insert visual kei member] look like
[insert Death Note character]?", and vice versa.
Got any suggestions? [preferably those who don't intentionally cosplay
Death Note... or that whole Mello-Madonna thing]
Note 'em here with the subject "dn: vkcosplay".
-----
... and yes, Ruka from Nightmare does make a good Mello full of hawtsecks.
